Getting started
How to start: a seven-step intro, the bottom tab bar, and where to find tips for each section.
The app is in Russian for now; the English interface is in preparation. Screenshots show the Russian interface, and button names in the text are given in English.
Open the app on Android
On zarok.app, open the “Where to get it” page. The Android block is labeled “Closed testing”: access to the test version depends on whether you're taking part in the testing. Tap “Request access” to open an email to support, or follow the “Google Play page” link.
Pick a look
The first screen shows two seeds: “Light” and “Dark”. Tap one, and the app switches to that look. “Skip” changes nothing: the look stays light. You can change it later in Profile, in the “Look” row. Then tap “Start” to go through the steps, or “I'll figure it out” to close the intro without a plan.
Step 1 of 7: A day that keeps itself on track
The screen shows a short example: a voice message turns into a list of tasks that you confirm, and in the morning they show up in your plan. Tap “Build my plan” to go on. The “I'll figure it out” button closes the intro, and in that case no plan is created.
Step 2 of 7: What do you want to improve?
Tap one or more goals: Energy, Focus, Discipline, Sleep, Fitness, Calm. Tap again to deselect. “Next” turns on once at least one goal is picked. Below, set “Wake-up”: morning is counted from this time, 07:00 by default. In the “Workouts” row, pick “No”, “1–2” or “3+” times a week.
Step 3 of 7: What to add to the morning?
This step is optional. Check items in the “Prep the night before” block, such as “Mat” or “Towel”, and, if you like, items in the “Supplements” block. To add your own item, type it in the field and tap “+”: each block takes up to eight of your own items. The “Build plan” button opens the choice of tab bar sections; the plan itself appears in step 5.
Step 4 of 7: What goes on the tab bar?
Tap up to three sections from the list: Calendar, Assistant, Courses, Vows or Progress. Tap again to remove a section. Calendar, Assistant and Courses are checked by default. “Day” and “Profile” are always on the tab bar. If you check a fourth section, the app replies: “Three sections fit. Remove one to pick this one”.
Step 5 of 7: your plan is ready
At the top, you see your wake-up time and the number of items per day. Below is the list of items by time: ritual steps and everything you picked in earlier steps. Tap “Looks good”: the plan is saved as the “Morning ritual” course, and the sections you picked go onto the tab bar. The “Back” button (arrow at the top left) is available up to and including this step. After “Looks good”, you can't go back.
Step 6 of 7: check off your first item
Tap the empty checkmark to the right of the first item. The check is saved in your day schedule. Right after, “Great start” appears, along with the ritual step counter and the share of the day that has already passed. You can skip checking and tap “Next” right away.
Step 7 of 7: keep building your ritual
Here's a quick look at the assistant. When you write or say things in your own words, it sorts plans into days and courses, and it shows you every change first. The assistant is unlocked by the Zarok Plus subscription, which you subscribe to through Google Play; Google Play shows the price and currency. Tap the subscription button at the bottom of the screen: it says “Get access” or “Unlock the assistant”. If the assistant's terms haven't been accepted yet, their screen opens first, in the Assistant section. After you agree, the Zarok Plus sheet opens, and if the subscription is already active, the assistant itself opens. If the terms are already accepted, the Zarok Plus sheet opens right away. Or tap “Continue for free” to close the intro without a subscription. Without a subscription, the main sections are available: Day, Calendar, Courses, Habits, Meals, Progress and Reminders.
Tab bar: switching and order
“Day” and “Profile” are always at the bottom, with up to three sections between them. By default these are “Calendar”, “Assistant” and “Courses”. Tap a section to open it. To change the set or the order, go to Profile → “Tab bar”. The ‹ and › arrows move a section left or right; up and down don't move it. The “−” button removes a section from the tab bar, and “+” in the “Available to add” list brings it back. If the tab bar already has three sections, remove one first. Sections you've removed can still be opened from Profile.
Profile: progress and settings
At the top of Profile is the “Progress” card, showing your streak and closed days. Below, in the “Settings” section, under the “App” group, you'll find “Tab bar”, “Look”, “Reminders”, “Tutorials” and other rows. You can put the “Progress” section on the tab bar as its own tab, if there's room.
Tips for each section
A tip shows up on its own the first time you open a section after the intro. Go forward with “Next”, or close it with “Skip”. On the last step, the buttons are called “Got it” and “Close”. To go through a tip again, open Profile → “Settings” → “Tutorials”. There are thirteen walkthroughs there: by section, and also for the course and habit forms. Walkthroughs you've finished are marked “seen”.
Assistant: what to say
Open “Assistant” and write or say a task in your own words, for example: “Workout tomorrow at 19:00”. You can add days and duration: “Workout on Mondays and Thursdays at 19:00, 60 minutes”. For a ritual step: “Add a 10-minute stretch to my morning ritual at 07:00”. For a meal: “Lunch at 13:00”. For a course, give the start date, phases and breaks. If something's missing, the assistant asks you a question in the chat. Voice: tap the microphone button, speak, then tap “Stop”. The text appears in the input field, and you send it yourself. You can attach a text file (csv, tsv, txt, json, md) with the paperclip button.
Assistant: what it shows you to confirm
The assistant doesn't log anything on its own. It shows a card with a suggestion and waits for your decision. Lines are either “new entry” (course, meal, event, ritual step) or “changes entry”, with the name of the entry it will change. The “What will change” heading appears if there are several items or a replacement; in that case, each item is picked with a checkbox. If a similar entry already exists, the card says another one will be created. Replacing existing data needs its own checkbox, “I confirm replacing existing data”. The “Apply” button saves what's selected (with the number selected, if there are several items), and “No thanks” cancels the suggestion.
A little more
clarity.
Can I skip the intro?
Yes. The welcome screen and the first step both have an “I'll figure it out” button. The app opens on “Day”, no plan is created, and the tab bar stays at the default. You can set up the look, the tab bar and reminders later in Profile.
Why isn't Progress on the tab bar?
By default, Progress is a card at the top of Profile. To move it to the tab bar, go to Profile → “Tab bar” and add the “Progress” section, if there's room: up to three sections fit between “Day” and “Profile”.
How do I bring back the tips I've already seen?
Open Profile → “Settings” → “Tutorials”. You can go through any walkthrough again. The “Show tips again” button clears the “seen” marks, and the tips show up again the first time you open a section.
What do I need to use the assistant?
The assistant is unlocked by the Zarok Plus subscription. You subscribe through Google Play, which shows the price and currency. Before you turn the assistant on, read its terms to the end: the “Continue” button turns on after that. Then tick two boxes: “I'm 14 or older” (ages 14 to 17 need permission from a parent or legal guardian) and “I consent to my requests being processed using AI”. The “Turn on the assistant” button works once both boxes are ticked.
Will the assistant log anything on its own?
No. Entries show up in the calendar only after you tap “Apply” on the suggestion card. “No thanks” cancels the suggestion without saving anything.
How do I turn off the assistant?
Open “Profile” → the card with your name → name or photo → the “Assistant & subscription” card → “Withdraw AI consent”. The app warns you that requests will stop being sent, and the chat history will be deleted from the device and the server. Your subscription is not cancelled by this: Google Play manages it.
