Calendar
Month, week, year, list and day by hour. You pick a view with the view button. A swipe collapses and expands the grid, and another swipe moves through the periods. Tasks are moved by hand.
The app is in Russian for now; the English interface is in preparation. Screenshots show the Russian interface, and button names in the text are given in English.
Open the calendar and pick a view
Tap “Calendar” at the bottom of the screen. To the right of the “Grid / List” switch, tap the view button: its label shows the current view (“Month”, “Week”, “Day”, “Year” or “List”). In the list, choose “Year”, “Month”, “Week”, “Day by hour” or “List”. “Day by hour” opens the selected day by hour, with the week strip kept above it. The “Today” item at the top of the list jumps the calendar to today.
Move through the period
The ‹ and › arrows in the header move by month, week or year, depending on the open view; in “List”, they move by month. Swiping left or right on the grid, the list or the header does the same. On a task card, a swipe opens its actions and doesn't move the period. Tap the month name to open the date picker.
Pick a day
In the “Grid” view, tapping a day selects it, and its plan appears under the grid. Double-tapping opens the full day window. In the “List” view, one tap opens that day on the “Day” tab, and a double tap opens the day window. In the grid, the dots under the number show task categories, and the bar shows completion.
Collapse the grid to a week
Drag the grid up or tap the short handle under it: the week and the selected day's plan stay. Drag the week down, and the month comes back. Drag the month down, and it opens full screen, with the names of the first tasks shown in the cells. Tapping the handle switches the same way: from month to week, and from week or full screen to month. The gesture works on the grid and the handle, but not on the list of tasks below it.
View the week in one of four ways
Under the week there are four plan views. “Day plan” shows task cards by time with check marks. “By the hour” shows tasks as time blocks. “Whole week” shows each day with its number of tasks and minutes, and the first three task names. “Priorities” sorts tasks into the groups “Important”, “Normal” and “Can wait”. To pick another day, tap it in the strip of days above the views, or in “Whole week”.
Move a task by the hour
In the “By the hour” view, tap a task block: the move screen opens with the label “Selected occurrence only”. Enter a new date, time and duration from 1 to 360 minutes. Tap “Check the move”: the app shows any tasks it overlaps with. To keep the overlap, tick “Keep this overlap”; otherwise, tap “Change time”. Then tap “Confirm move”. Only the selected repeat moves, and the others stay on their own dates. Tapping a meal or a checked-off task in the by-the-hour view opens the day. To move a checked-off task through the move screen, uncheck it first.
Move a task to another day
On the “Day” tab, swipe the task card to the left: “Edit”, “Delete” and “Date” open. In the calendar's “Day plan”, the task has a “Move” button. Tap “Date”: the “Move task” window opens with “Date” and “Time” fields. Tap “Move”. A “Moved to…” message appears at the bottom with an “Undo” button. In “Priorities”, tap “Move” in the row of an unfinished task: the same move screen as in “By the hour” opens.
Change the order of tasks
There are no arrows for manual sorting. Pinned tasks come first, then the rest, by time. To move a task higher, pin it: swipe the card to the right and tap “Pin” (“Unpin” removes the pin). Or set an earlier time: swipe the card to the left, tap “Edit” or “Date”, and change the “Time” field.
Check off a task
Tap the empty square on the right of the card (the “Check off” button). The task is checked off and moves to the “Done” block at the bottom of the day's list. Tapping again unchecks it. In “By the hour”, tapping a block opens the move screen, not the check-off. Checking off a task on a future day first asks you to confirm with “Yes, I'm sure”. The “Don't show this warning again” checkbox turns off this prompt; you can also do it in Profile, in the “Behavior” section.
Add tags and a priority
Swipe the task card to the right and tap “Tags”. Pick the task and type tags separated by commas: up to eight, each up to 24 characters. Choose a priority: “Normal”, “Important” or “Can wait”. In the “Apply” field, choose “This item on all dates” or “Selected day only”, and tap “Save”. The “Clear tags and set normal priority” button resets both fields in the form; the reset is saved only after you tap “Save”. The task's time and pin don't change.
Find a task or note
Open the “Day” tab. Tap the thin handle at the left edge of the screen, or swipe right from the left edge. In the day menu, choose “Find a task or note”. Type your text: results appear under the field and cover from one month back to three months ahead. For category, completion, tag, priority and period, tap “Build a collection”: the “Search” window opens. In the “Filters” block, choose a period: “Today”, “Next 7 days”, “Next 30 days”, “A month back — three months ahead” (default), or “Custom dates”, up to 366 days. The circle next to a result checks off the task. Tapping the result's row opens the day of that task, and tapping “Tags” opens the tags. You can save a filter with a name; you can keep up to 20 saved filters. They appear in the day menu under the “Collections” section.
Add a calendar from a file
In the day menu, choose “My calendars”, or tap “Calendars ↗” in the “Meetings and events” block. Tap “+ Add calendar” to open the form. Enter a name and pick a .ics file up to 1 MB; one period can hold up to 500 events and up to 366 days. Check the “From” and “To” dates: by default, this is 90 days from today, but no more than 366. Choose a time zone for events without one. Tap “View events”: the app shows how many events will be added, changed and removed, plus the first six events. If the new file is missing events from the earlier period, tick the confirmation to delete them. Then tap “Add calendar”. To update, choose “Update from file” and, after the preview, tap “Apply changes”. You can hide or show a calendar. “Delete” asks for confirmation and removes its events from Zarok only; your calendar and personal tasks stay. You can add up to five calendars in total. You can undo the latest calendar change within 10 minutes.
Save the week to a .ics file
Open the week in the calendar (collapse the grid to a week) and pick the “By the hour”, “Whole week” or “Priorities” view. The “Week to a file” button at the bottom of the screen is in all four views; in “Priorities”, it's hidden in the collapsed “Calendar actions” block. The file is named “Зарок-неделя-YYYY-MM-DD.ics”, where the date is the first day of the week: Monday or, if “Profile → Date and time” has “First day of the week” set to “Sunday”, Sunday. The file includes the week's tasks that have a time set; tasks without a time are skipped. The file is for other calendar apps: it isn't a link subscription.
Connect your phone calendar (Android only)
In the Android app, open “Profile” → “Integrations & import” → “Phone calendar”. The “Device calendar” page opens: tap “Connect a calendar”. Read the explanation and tap “Connect”, then allow access when your phone asks. Nothing is selected at first: tap “Choose calendars”, tick the calendars Zarok will read, and tap “Apply selection” (or “Cancel” to leave without changes). Then choose “Calendar to write to”: the list only shows the selected calendars that have write access. By default, events and actions go to the calendar; meals and “Supplements” are turned on separately. If “Update automatically” is off, entries aren't sent on their own: tap “Sync now”, and the “Add to calendar?” window opens, with all entries checked by default. Uncheck the ones you don't need and tap “Confirm and sync”. When “Update automatically” is on, syncing runs when you open the app, when you come back to it, and after edits; there's no syncing while the app is closed.
Ask the assistant to log a task
Open “Assistant”, tap the microphone and dictate your request, or type it. The assistant is available with a subscription. Example requests: “Add a 10-minute breathing practice to my morning ritual at 07:00”; “Workout every Tuesday and Thursday at 19:00”; “Breakfast every day at 8:00”; “Habit course: 15 days, then a 2-day break”. The assistant shows the plan. If there's a single item, it's a row with “Apply” and “No thanks” buttons. If there are several items or a replacement, a “What will change” list with checkboxes appears above them. Each row is labeled as a new entry or a change; if a similar entry already exists, the assistant warns you about it. To replace an existing entry, tick “I confirm replacing existing data”. After you apply, “Undo · …” appears under the reply while undo is available.
A little more
clarity.
What do the day colors in the grid mean?
“Done” means all of the day's items are checked off. “In progress” is today, which is still going on. “Partial” means the day has passed and some tasks were checked off. “Skipped” means the day passed with no check-offs. “Upcoming” means the day hasn't started yet. “Not counted” means the day was before the start and doesn't count. Past days are shown in gray in the grid.
Can I move a done task or a meal in “By the hour”?
Tapping a done task or a meal in “By the hour” opens the day. You can drag a done task with a long press only after you confirm: its “Done” mark is removed in the process.
What happens to the other repeats if I move one?
Only the selected repeat moves. The other repeats stay on their own dates and times. The same applies to moving with “Date”.
Why can't I check off meetings from a file, and why don't they change the completion percentage?
Meetings from a file appear in the “Meetings and events” block, labeled “From calendar · view only”. They aren't tasks: you can't check them off, and they don't raise the completion percentage. The block shows on the “Day” tab and in the calendar's week view, but not in the month grid.
Is a .ics file a calendar subscription?
No. The button saves the week's file once, and you can open it in another calendar app. Zarok has no link subscriptions: a calendar is added only from a .ics file that you choose yourself.
What does the assistant do if details are missing?
It asks up to four short questions, often with an example answer, and logs nothing until it has the full plan. The assistant logs your schedule and doesn't give advice on health, nutrition or doses: for requests like that, it logs nothing and suggests discussing them with a specialist.
