Account and subscription

An account moves your data and subscription to another phone. A subscription is bought and cancelled in Google Play.

The app is in Russian for now; the English interface is in preparation. Screenshots show the Russian interface, and button names in the text are given in English.

  1. Open “Profile”

The “Profile” tab is at the bottom right of the screen by default. At the top of this page, there's a card with your name. Tap it, then tap the name or photo. The “Assistant & subscription” and “Account” cards open.

“Account” card (opened from the card with your name in “Profile”) with the “Sign in or create an account” button (screenshot is in Russian)
Profile → the card with your name → your name or photo → “Account”: “Sign in or create an account.” After you sign in, this button will read “Manage account.”
  2. Tap “Sign in or create an account”

The button is in the “Account” card. Once you're signed in, it's called “Manage account” and opens the “Account” window. There, you can set or change your password, sign out, and delete your account.

Sign-in window with the “Continue with Google” and “Sign in with email” buttons (screenshot is in Russian)
Sign-in window: “Continue with Google” and “Sign in with email.” If Google isn't available, only “Sign in with email” remains. Links to the terms and the privacy policy are at the bottom.
  3. Choose a way to sign in

In the sign-in window, tap “Continue with Google” if that button is there. It works in the Android app, and your phone needs a Google account. You can sign in with email using the “Sign in with email” button: it sits under “Continue with Google,” and if Google isn't available, it's the only option. If there are no sign-in options, the window says that sign-in will be available soon. Links to the terms and the privacy policy are at the bottom of the window.

  4. Sign in with email and password

On the “Sign in” tab, enter your email and password, then tap “Sign in.” If you don't have a password yet (the account was created with a code from an email), sign in with the emailed code. If you've forgotten your password, tap “Forgot password?” and then “Send link.” The link for a new password is valid for 1 hour.

  5. Sign in with an emailed code

Tap “Sign in with emailed code,” enter your email, and tap “Get code.” Enter the six digits from the email and tap “Sign in.” The code is valid for 10 minutes.

  6. Sign up with email

On the sign-in screen, tap “Sign in with email,” enter your email, and tap “Next.” Under the “Sign in” button, tap the “Create account” link, check “I accept the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy,” and tap “Get code.” Enter the code from the email and tap “Create account.” You don't need a password to sign up. You can set one later in the “Account” window with the “Set password” button.

  7. Set or change your password

In “Manage account,” tap “Set password” or “Change password.” These buttons appear when an email is linked to the account and email sign-in is turned on. The app sends a link to your email, and the link is valid for 1 hour. Use the link to set a password of at least 8 characters. After you change your password, you need to sign in again on all your phones, including this one.

  8. Sign out of your account

In “Manage account,” tap “Sign out,” then tap “Sign out” again. Your data stays in the account, and this phone opens a clean profile. Your chosen look is kept.

  9. Sign in to the same account on a new phone

Install the app and sign in to the same Google or email account. Your data, Zarok, and subscription load on their own. If the account already has entries, the phone's entries don't move into the account: the account's data replaces them. Unsaved edits are kept as a copy in Profile → “Data & sync” → “Copies on this device.” So before you sign in, export your data: Profile → “Data & sync” → “Export.”

  10. Or move your data with a code

On your old phone, open Profile → the card with your name → your name or photo → “Account” → “Connect another device.” A code appears. On your new phone, open Profile → the card with your name → your name or photo → the “Account” card → “Sign in with a code,” and enter the code in the “Sign in to an existing account with a code” window. The “Sign in with a code” button shows in the app as long as the phone isn't signed in to an account. The code is valid for 10 minutes and works once. If the account already has entries and the new phone also had entries, a copy of the new phone's entries is saved in Profile → “Data & sync” → “Copies on this device.” If the account has no entries, the phone's entries move into it.

  11. Restore your subscription on a new phone

Usually, access to the assistant appears on its own after you sign in and open the app. If it doesn't, open Profile → the card with your name → your name or photo → “Assistant & subscription” → “Restore purchases.” The button is in the app from Google Play and at the bottom of the “Zarok Plus” plans window. If no subscription is found, the app says: “No active subscription on this Google Play account.” To restore, you need the same Google Play account you used to subscribe.

  12. Get a subscription

Open the “Assistant” tab. Without a subscription, a screen with the “Month,” “Year,” and “Supporter” plans opens right away. Pick a plan and tap the button under it: “Get Plus” or “Get Plus as a Supporter.” If Google Play offers a free trial, a “7 days” option appears in the list, with the “Start 7 days free” button. Payment goes through Google Play. Once access is open, the assistant shows its terms. Read the text all the way to the end, tap “Continue,” check “I'm 14 or older” (for ages 14 to 17, with parental permission) and “I consent to my requests being processed using AI,” then tap “Turn on the assistant.” A third-party AI service processes the requests.

  13. Ask the assistant to add something

In the “Assistant” tab, type your task or dictate it. Examples: “Breakfast at 08:30, oatmeal and 2 eggs”; “Workout on Mondays and Thursdays at 19:00, 60 minutes”; “Add 10 minutes of breathing to my morning ritual at 07:00.” Name a course along with its length, for example “I'm starting a 15-day course.” If details are missing, the assistant asks questions, and you can answer them in one message. For voice, tap the microphone icon, speak, and tap “Stop.” The text appears in the input field, and you can edit it before sending.

  14. Confirm the entry

The assistant shows a “What will change” card when there are several items or existing data will be replaced. Each item is labeled “new entry,” “change,” or “changes entry” with a name. The daily target and the meal plan length have their own labels. If a similar entry already exists, a warning appears: “A similar entry already exists.” Nothing is saved until you tap “Apply.” Select the items you want. If the entry will replace existing data, check “I confirm replacing existing data”: without that check, “Apply” is unavailable. “No thanks” cancels the plan. After you apply, “Undo” appears in the chat: you can undo the last change within 24 hours.

  15. Cancel the subscription in Google Play

Renewal is cancelled in Google Play, and the period you've paid for runs until the end. In the app, open Profile → the card with your name → your name or photo → “Assistant & subscription” → “Manage subscription” (under it, it says “Billing and renewal in Google Play”). The subscriptions page opens. The button is visible if the subscription was bought through Google Play. On that page, choose “Zarok” and cancel the renewal.

  16. Delete your account

In “Manage account,” tap “Delete account…”. The “Reset data” window opens, with the “Delete account” row already checked (if sync is enabled on this phone). Check “Yes, I understand: this data can't be brought back” and tap “Delete account.” The account and its entries on the server are erased, sync is turned off on this phone, and the account stops working on all phones where you signed in. The subscription is not cancelled, though: cancel it in Google Play (see the step “Cancel the subscription in Google Play”).

  17. Withdraw AI consent (optional)

Open Profile → the card with your name → your name or photo → “Assistant & subscription” → “Withdraw AI consent,” and in the confirmation window, tap “Withdraw.” Requests stop being sent, and the chat is deleted from the phone and the server. The subscription is not cancelled. You can turn the assistant back on in the “Assistant” section.

Questions about this section

A little more
clarity.

Do I need an account to use the app?

No. Signing in is optional: the app works without an account. An account keeps your data, Zarok, settings, and subscription from being lost when you switch phones.

The subscription didn't open on my new phone. What do I do?

Sign in to the same Zarok account and open the app: access usually appears on its own. If there's no access, open Profile → the card with your name → your name or photo → “Assistant & subscription” → “Restore purchases,” signed in with the same Google Play account you used to subscribe. If that doesn't help, message the developer: Profile → “About the app” → “Message the developer.”

How do I cancel the subscription and get a refund?

Cancel the renewal in Google Play: open Profile → the card with your name → your name or photo → “Assistant & subscription” → “Manage subscription.” Refunds are decided by Google Play under its own rules. You can request a refund through Google Play or write to support@zarok.app.

Does deleting the account cancel the subscription?

No. Deleting the account erases the account and its entries, but only Google Play cancels the subscription.

What happens to my data if I sign out?

Your data stays in the account, and this phone opens a clean profile. To get your data back, sign in to the account again.

I no longer have the phone, but I need to delete the account. How do I do that?

The page zarok.app/delete-account describes how to delete the account without the app. Send a request from the account's email address. Requests are processed within 30 days.
