Look and tab bar
The bar at the bottom, the theme, and the home screen layout are set up in Profile.
The app is in Russian for now; the English interface is in preparation. Screenshots show the Russian interface, and button names in the text are given in English.
Open Profile
Tap “Profile,” the last button on the right of the bar. The “App” block has the rows “Reminders,” “Tab bar,” and “Look.” The “Tab bar” row lists the sections on the bar, and the “Look” row shows the current theme.
Open “Tab bar”
At the top of the window, you see a mockup of the bottom of your phone. It changes right away as you tap the buttons. “Day” and “Profile” are always on the bar. Between them — up to three sections.
Change the order of sections
In the “On the bar” block, each section except “Day” and “Profile” has ‹ and › buttons. ‹ moves the section left, and › moves it right. You don't need to drag anything: the bar runs sideways, so a section doesn't move up or down. The ‹ button is inactive for the first of the middle sections, and the › button is inactive for the last one.
Remove a section from the bar
Tap “−” to the right of the section. The section leaves the bar, but it isn't deleted. It shows up in Profile, in the “More sections” block.
Add a section to the bar
In the “Available to add” block, tap “+” next to the section you want. If the bar already has three sections (not counting “Day” and “Profile”), the app reminds you: “The bar already has five sections. Remove one first.”
Close the window
There's no separate “Save” button: changes are saved right away. Close the window with “Done.”
Open “Look”
In Profile, in the “App” block, tap “Look.” There are three tabs at the top: “Theme,” “Icon,” and “Screen.” On the “Theme” tab, the Plus collections and the classic themes scroll sideways in rows, and below them is the “Gloss and paintings on widgets” switch. On the “Icon” tab, there's an “App icon” block (it's available in the Android app). On the “Screen” tab, there's a “Home screen” block, and below it, the colors for “Day statuses” and “Task categories.”
Choose a Plus collection
At the top, tap a collection tile, such as “Obsidian,” “Porcelain,” “Cobalt,” or “Copper.” The selected tile shows “✓ Selected.” Without a Zarok Plus subscription, tapping opens the subscription window, and the theme doesn't change. You subscribe through Google Play.
Choose a classic theme
In the “Classic themes” block, tap “System,” “Light,” “Dark,” “Sage,” “Sand,” “Mist,” “B&W light,” or “B&W dark.” The selected tile gets a check mark. These themes work without a subscription.
Turn off backgrounds if you only want colors
Tap the “Gloss and paintings on widgets” switch to turn it off. It works without a subscription. The background pictures on the screens, the gloss on buttons, the light on surfaces, the glow on the “Day complete” card, and the sky behind Zarok on widgets all disappear. The theme colors stay. To bring back the gloss and paintings, tap the switch again.
Choose the home screen layout
On the “Screen” tab, in the “Home screen” block, tap a tile: “Cards” (the default), “Unified day,” or “Separate plan.” The selected one gets a check mark. The last two are Plus: without a subscription, tapping opens the subscription window. They show on the home screen when a Plus collection is active.
Change the status and category colors
On the “Screen” tab, below the “Home screen” block, there are the “Day statuses” and “Task categories” blocks. Tap a row to pick a different color. The colors apply to the current theme. Task categories are used to count time in courses and for progress.
Ask the assistant to add something
Open the “Assistant” tab and type what to add, for example: “Add 10 minutes of breathing to my morning ritual at 07:00” (ritual step); “Breakfast at 08:30 every day” (meal); “Workout on Mondays and Thursdays at 19:00, 60 minutes” (repeating event); “Supplement course from Monday: two weeks of intake, one week off, intake at 08:00” (course). While the chat is empty, four suggestions appear under the greeting: “Supplement course,” “Meal,” “Workout,” and “Ritual step.”
Dictate by voice
If there's a microphone button next to the input field, tap it and speak. To stop recording, tap the same button (it turns into a square) or “Stop” in the recording panel. After you stop, the recognized text appears in the input field. Check it, then tap “Send,” the button with an up arrow.
Review the plan
The assistant replies in the chat and shows a plan. Each change has its own line. If there are several items, or something will be overwritten, you can select or deselect each item. If a similar entry already exists, the plan names it and says that another one will be created. A change to an existing entry is labeled “changes entry.”
Tap “Apply” or “No thanks”
Until you tap “Apply,” nothing changes in the calendar. If several items are selected, the button shows how many: “Apply (2).” “No thanks” cancels the plan. If a selected item will replace existing data, first check “I confirm replacing existing data.” Without that check, “Apply” is inactive.
A little more
clarity.
Why don't “Unified day” and “Separate plan” change the home screen?
These layouts show when a Plus collection is active. “System” also gives you Plus when you have a subscription: “Porcelain” by day and “Obsidian” at night. With the other classic themes, the home screen stays on “Cards,” and the layout you chose is saved and comes back when you pick a Plus collection. If you choose “Unified day” or “Separate plan” with a subscription while on a regular theme, the app turns on the “Yin-yang” collection by itself and tells you about it.
What happens to the Plus collection if the subscription ends?
The app shows the Light theme and the “Cards” layout. Your chosen collection and layout stay in settings and come back with the subscription.
Do you need a subscription to change colors and turn off backgrounds?
No. Classic themes, the “Gloss and paintings on widgets” switch, the tab bar, and the colors for day statuses and task categories work without a subscription. A Zarok Plus subscription unlocks the assistant, the Plus collections, the “Unified day” and “Separate plan” layouts, and the widget look.
Does the assistant add everything right away?
No. It shows a plan, and the calendar doesn't change until you tap “Apply.” “No thanks” cancels the plan.
How do I undo a change I've already applied?
Within 24 hours, tap “Undo” under the assistant's answer or in Profile, in the “Last change” block. The button under the answer also shows how much time is left. Only the last change can be undone.
Why isn't the section I need on the bar?
The section isn't deleted. Open Profile and find it in the “More sections” block. Or remove another section from the bar and add the one you need.
