Terms of Use

Last updated October 12, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Zarok Studio, which develops the Zarok app (“we”). They apply to the app on Google Play and in Telegram. By installing and opening the app, you agree to them. If you do not agree with any part of them, you should not use the app. Our Privacy Policy describes how we handle data: zarok.app/privacy.

The app does not give medical advice

Zarok is a personal routine planner. It records what you have decided to do, reminds you of it and shows how much of it is done. Examples shown in the app, its hints and the onboarding (such as names of courses, supplements, meals and activities) only illustrate what you can record. They are not recommendations. The playful lines and the words on pictures in the “Memes” theme are decoration, not recommendations; in this theme Zarok speaks informally.

The app is not a medical device, does not diagnose, does not select medications or dosages, does not assess their safety and is not a substitute for a doctor's advice. Agree on supplement schedules, diet and physical activity with a specialist, especially if you have chronic conditions, are pregnant or take medication. You are responsible for decisions you make based on entries in the app.

Age

You may use the app from age 13. You may use the assistant from age 14; from 14 to 17, you need the permission of a parent or legal guardian. The “Vow” section is intended for people aged 18 and over. If the law of your country requires a higher age or parental consent for such an agreement, use the app with your parents' consent.

Your entries

You create the content of your schedule and are responsible for it. The app is intended for personal, non-commercial use. We try to keep it running reliably, but we do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or that your data will be preserved if your device fails; for that purpose, you can export a backup from your profile.

Account

An account is optional: you can use the app without one. With an account, your data, your Zarok, settings and subscription are saved and carry over to a new phone. You can sign in with Google, with an email and password, or with a one-time code from an email.

Each person may have one account, and you may not transfer it to anyone else. Use your own email address, keep your password confidential and do not reuse a password from another service. If someone else learns your password, set a new one (Profile → “Account” → “Manage account” → “Change password”); this signs out earlier sessions on other devices. You can also sign out of your account or delete it in the same section.

Assistant

The assistant is intended only for managing your routine: it records courses, meals, workouts and ritual steps, and can read your schedule back to you. It does not give advice on nutrition, supplements, workouts or health, and declines such requests. The assistant can make mistakes when parsing text, so it always shows you what it understood before applying anything and waits for your confirmation. Review the suggested entries.

The assistant's answers are generated by a third-party artificial intelligence service that we access through an API; we do not have a language model of our own. The answers may contain errors.

That service's rules allow use from age 14, and under age 18 only with the permission of a parent or legal guardian. For that reason, before you use the assistant for the first time, you confirm your age once and consent to your requests being processed by a third-party AI service. You are responsible for the accuracy of that confirmation. The other features of the app are available without this restriction.

A daily limit applies to the number of requests you can send to the assistant; it protects the service from excessive load. During the subscription's free trial the limit is lower; the limit is shown on the subscription screen. The assistant is not meant for tasks other than managing your routine.

Paid access and subscription

The core features are free: planning your day, the calendar, courses, habits, meals, statistics, video, reminders, widgets (except those included in the subscription), including the “My Zarok” widget with a painting, phone calendar integration and data export. The paid “Zarok Plus” subscription unlocks the assistant and its widget, connecting AI clients, the widgets with Zarok (“Next step”, “Progress”, “At your pace”, “Day recap”), the “Calendar” and “My steps and dates” widgets, glossy themes, the “Hanami”, “Tsukimi”, “Memes” and “Memes · night” themes, widget palettes and the minimal widget style. Without a subscription, the chosen glossy theme, palette and minimal widget style are replaced with regular ones, and a paid widget shows a lock and a subscribe button; your choice is saved and returns with the subscription.

Subscription terms. You purchase the subscription in the app through Google Play, on a monthly or yearly plan. Google Play may offer new subscribers a free trial, for example the first week of the monthly plan. The length of the free trial and the price after it are shown in the app and in the payment window before you confirm the purchase. You are not charged for the free trial; if you do not cancel the subscription before the trial ends, Google Play will charge you for the first paid period. After the free trial, as after every paid period, the subscription renews automatically at the regular price of the chosen plan until you cancel it. The current price and currency are shown in the Google Play payment window before you confirm the purchase and depend on the country of your account. Subscription features become available immediately after purchase.

Price changes. If the subscription price changes, Google Play will notify you in advance. The new price takes effect only from the next paid period. If the Google Play rules or the law require your consent to the new price, the subscription will not renew at the new price without it.

Access on other devices. The subscription is tied to your Zarok user record. Sign in to the same account on another device, and the assistant will be available there too. If access is not restored after you change phones, tap “Restore purchases”: Profile → your name → “Account” → “AI & subscription”.

If a payment fails. Google Play retries the charge for several days, and the assistant remains available during that time. If the payment still does not go through, the subscription is put on hold until you update your payment method in Google Play. The subscription status is shown in the profile: Profile → your name → “Account” → “AI & subscription”.

How to cancel. You can cancel auto-renewal at any time: Google Play → profile menu → “Payments & subscriptions” → “Subscriptions” → choose “Zarok” → “Cancel subscription”. Canceling stops future charges; the period you have already paid for runs to its end, and you keep access until then. If you cancel during the free trial, you are not charged, and you keep access until the trial ends. Deleting the app or your Zarok account does not by itself cancel the subscription.

Refunds

Subscription features become available immediately after purchase: by subscribing, you ask us to start providing the service immediately.

Each request to the assistant incurs costs that we pay to third-party computing providers; these costs are charged at the time of the request and are not refunded to us. Therefore subscription periods that have been paid for and actually used are not refundable, unless the law requires otherwise.

Refunds for payments made through Google Play are handled by Google in accordance with Google Play's policies. Google may decide on a refund at its own discretion, including within the first 48 hours after purchase. We do not contest or influence such decisions. You can submit a refund request through Google Play or directly to us at support@zarok.app.

Nothing above limits any consumer rights expressly granted to you by applicable law, including any right to withdraw from a purchase within the period set by law, where the law of your country provides one, and your rights where the service was not provided or was provided improperly. If you are unable to use the assistant for technical reasons that are our fault, we will extend the paid period or refund the payment for the unused period.

The “Vow” section

The section helps you keep your own plan for gradually reducing your usual amount of something. The app counts the days, shows the schedule you chose and reminds you of it. You make the plan yourself, based on the numbers you enter, and you can change it on any day.

The section is not a medical device, treatment, therapy or medical procedure, does not diagnose and is not a substitute for a doctor's advice. We do not promise or guarantee that you will quit a habit or that your condition will change in any other way: the result depends on circumstances beyond the control of the app, and the decision to cut down is yours.

The section lets you keep a count for an item that you name yourself. The app does not check or assess your choice, does not suggest or recommend reducing the use of any substances, and only keeps count by the numbers you provide. You are responsible for the choice of item, the pace of reduction and the consequences. Discuss the plan with a doctor if you have chronic conditions, mental disorders, eating disorders or diabetes, if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you take medication. Stopping the use of some substances can cause conditions that require medical care; if you experience tremors, seizures, confusion or severe anxiety, see a doctor. The section is intended for people aged eighteen and over.

Self-encouragement phrases and breathing exercises are offered as a focusing technique and are not psychotherapy, hypnotherapy or any other kind of treatment.

Together

Shared task lists are available after you sign in to an account. Some features of shared lists may be included in the “Zarok Plus” subscription; the app tells you where this applies. You are responsible for what you write in a shared list. Do not post other people's personal data without their consent, insults, threats or unlawful material there. You can report a task or a member; the list owner can remove a member and block them from joining again. We may remove such material or block access to shared lists for anyone who violates these rules.

Connecting AI clients

With a “Zarok Plus” subscription, you can connect a third-party AI client to your plan, for example ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini. You decide which client to connect and what to allow it. That client's service is governed by its own terms and is paid for separately; the “Zarok Plus” subscription does not replace it.

If you allowed the client to change the plan, it carries out your requests from its own chat right away. Each of its edits can be undone in the app within 24 hours. Access can be revoked at any time. We are not responsible for errors made by a third-party client or for how it handles the data it receives.

Enter a connection code only if you started the connection yourself: someone else's code will open your plan to the person who sent it.

Deletion and ending use

You can erase your data or delete your user record at any time right in the app, and you can also request deletion on the page zarok.app/delete-account. A user record with no activity for a year is deleted automatically, unless it has a paid period. Deleting the account does not cancel the subscription in Google Play: cancel it there. Entries that the app added to the phone calendar stay in it until you delete them; when they are deleted in the app, they are deleted in the calendar too, if that is chosen in the calendar settings.

We may suspend or terminate service for a user record if these terms are violated or if there are attempts to harm the service: circumventing limits, sending automated bulk requests, interfering with the operation of the server, or attempting to access other people's data. Unless doing so would threaten the security of the service, we will give you advance notice and explain the reason.

Rights to the app

The rights to the app, its design, texts and images belong to us or are used by us on a lawful basis. We grant you permission to use the app for your personal needs; you may not copy, modify or distribute any part of it without our consent. Your entries belong to you: we use them only to run the app, as described in the Privacy Policy.

The app uses the open-source library ICAL.js 2.2.1, which reads calendar files. The library is distributed under the Mozilla Public License 2.0; its source code: github.com/kewisch/ical.js.

Liability

The app is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages, lost profits or the consequences of decisions made on the basis of entries in the app or of the assistant's answers. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for intent and gross negligence and for harm to life and health, or deprives you of your mandatory consumer rights.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of the country where the developer is registered. If you use the app as a consumer, you retain the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of the country where you live, including the right to bring a claim in the courts of that country. Before going to court, contact us; we will try to resolve the matter.

Changes to the terms

We may update these terms. The current version is always in the app and at zarok.app/terms; the update date is shown at the top. We will notify you of significant changes in the app. If you do not agree with the new version, you can stop using the app and delete your account; the subscription is canceled in Google Play.
